If you are a member of a motoring organization at home then you can usually use the facilities of their Australian counterpart. Each Australian state has it’s own motoring organization although they are all part of the AAA – Australian Automobile Association. Therefore membership through one territory can be used throughout the country!

If you’re not a member of an association at home then it is probably worthwhile joining while in Australia. 12 months membership costs approximately $100 and includes 24 hour roadside service, towing, emergency fuel and a number of other benefits.
